My mother, my father
Do you want to deepen your bond with your mother and father? Get a clear idea of your mother and father, find peace and come closer to yourself.
When to take this workshop:
- There’s something wrong in the relationship with your mother and/or father. Or maybe everything’s wrong.
- You have a good relationship with your parents, but want to know how to develop it even further.
- You have children yourself and wonder if you are a sufficiently good mother or father.
- You don’t want to become like your mother or father, but do want to see their positive sides.
What participants will get out of this workshop:
- Find that your idea of your mother and father is incomplete.
- Discover that your idea of your mother and father doesn’t have to define you.
- Explore whether your idea of your mother and father belongs to your past or not.
- Experience that your idea of your mother and father can evolve.
- Learn how to deal with your idea of your mother and father in a different way.
How do we do this? By constantly switching between short theory and experience-based exercises. And by responding to group input.
I am now better able to identify what’s mine and what’s someone else’s, leading to a lot less drama in my life. My self-knowledge has increased enormously, mainly because I can see that my environment mirrors what goes on inside of me. This makes my environment less threatening and provides me with a compass. – Anneloes
What do participants learn to appreciate?
- Acknowledgement | You want the idea you have of your mother and/or father to be acknowledged. It’s okay to have this idea; we don’t judge.
- Peace | We show you the difference between the idea you used to have of your mother and/or father and the one you can have now. This often brings peace.
- Freedom | Do you want to understand what’s going on between you and your parents? We offer you guidance to take responsibility and to break free of expectations.
- Live life to the full | Your mother and father are in your genes, whether you like it or not. You’ll learn to accept that, to be able to live life to the full.
- Closer to yourself | With a clearer idea of your mother and/or father, you know what you (don’t) have in common with them. This way, you get to know yourself.
